..a solo artist, with a desire for bedroom-level authenticity, genuine creativity, and self-expression.
Through performance, recording, and production, Markwon creates a sound that
builds community, unifies cultures, and inspires creativity. Growing up near isolated and
inequal communities, Markwon’s goal has long been to empower and connect those around him.
His artistic style is influenced by many before him- the polish of Micheal Jackson,
the raw emotional impact of Al Green, the creative genius of Pharrell, and many others,
Markwon works to write and produce original music that reflects both his roots and his
developing outlook toward solidarity. Markwon plans to develop a solo career that
inspires his listeners to not only listen to his music,
but to the world and those around them.
